परिचय/Introduction (English version is given after the Nepali version)
पहलगाम–58, कश्मीर, (जम्मू-कश्मीर लद्दाख) मा जन्मेका, रमेश कुमार भट्ट (ज़िहन निशीन) जीवनको निम्नलिखित प्रक्रिया मार्फत एक सर्वहारा बुद्धिजीवी र भौतिक द्वन्द्ववादी बन्नु भयो—यसका अतिरिक्त अंग्रेजी, नेपाली, हिन्दी, उर्दू र कश्मीरीमा पेशागत अनुवादक र सम्पादक पनि बन्नु भयो ।
1979: जम्मू कश्मीरमा विद्यमान एक समूहको माग्गदर्शनमा सर्वहारा क्रान्तिकारी हुनु भयो, त्यस समूहको केन्द्रीय पत्रिका “एक क्रान्तिकारी दृष्टिकोण” थियो, जसलाई पछि 1980 देखि 1984 सम्म “एक सर्वहारा दृष्टिकोण” को नाममा सञ्चालन गरियो ।
1984-85: त्यस क्रान्तिकारी समूहको केन्द्रीय समिति संशोधनवाद र पूँजीपति सुधारवादको शिकार भएपछि, उहाँले ठूलो वैचारिक संकटको सामना गर्नु भयो । केन्द्रीय समितिले आफ्नो मार्क्सवादी विचारधारा त्याग्यो अनि श्रमिक वर्ग क्रान्तिकारी वर्ग होइन तथा “विशेषज्ञहरूको” वर्ग, अर्थात् विभिन्न क्षेत्रहरूका विज्ञहरू इतिहास र मानवताका चालक हुन् भनेर “नयाँ” बुझाइको प्रचार गर्न थाल्यो ।
त्यस केन्द्रीय समितिले प्रचार गरेको थरिथरीका विभ्रान्तिहरूका विषयमा स्पष्टता प्राप्त गर्नका लागि मार्क्सवाद र विशेष गरी लेनिनको कृतिहरूका अध्ययन गर्नु भयो अनि ती विभ्रान्तिहरूबाट मुक्ति प्राप्त गर्नु भयो।
1985: मार्क्सवादको बुझाइ गहिरो भयो र वैचारिक स्पष्टता प्राप्त भयो ।
1986-88: धेरैजसो खाली समयलाई अध्ययनमा भिताउनु भयो ।
1988: लद्दाख र ज़न्स्कारका केही स्थानहरूको भ्रमण गर्नु भयो अनि त्यस क्षेत्रका विशिष्ट परिस्थितिहरूको परिचय पाउनु भयो ।
1989 (जून): सम्भावित हत्यारा र पूर्ण रूपमा निराशाजनक परिस्थितिको बढ्दो प्रकोपका कारण, कश्मीरबाट पलायन गर्नु भयो ।
भूटानमा एक शिक्षकको रूपमा काम गर्नु भयो । 1990 को अन्त्य सम्म भुटानको (अविकसित) समाजको प्रत्यक्ष अध्ययन गर्नु भयो ।
1991: नेपाल आउनु भयो र त्यस समयदेखि काठमाण्डौंमा बसोबास गर्नु भयो । सन् 1997 सम्म विभिन्न निजी स्कूलहरूमा शिक्षकको रूपमा काम गर्नु भयो ।
1998 देखि : केही कृतिहरू लेख्नु र प्रकाशन गर्नु भयो, जसमा “नयाँ मिलेनियम” (क्रान्तिकारी कवि, साहिर लुधनिवीका कविताहरूबाट केही कविताहरूको नेपाली र अंग्रेजी अनुवाद); “सदाबहार पाठक र लेखक” (अंग्रेजी, नेपाली, उर्दू र कश्मीरीका विभिन्न लेखकहरूका लेख, कथा र कविताहरूका नेपाली र अंग्रेजी अनुवाद); “Liberating the Future from the Past”, विश्वको वर्तमान अवस्था र श्रमिक वर्गका लागि अगाडि कार्यहरूमा ध्यान खिच्ने एक कृति; र “Recession—A Bolshevik Viewpoint”; “के बेरोजगारीको कुनै औचित्य छ “; “Workers Calendar”; “Secularism and Its Domain”, “Relativity Physics, Interpretation or Misinterpretation”… सामेल छन्;
उहाँका सह-अनुवादक, प्रा. पशुपति न्यौपानेसँग मिलेर रबीन्द्रनाथ टेगोरको “गीताञ्जली”, खलील जिब्रानका “हृदयका रहस्यहरू” र “भविष्यदृष्टा” अंग्रेजीबाट नेपालीमा अनुवाद गर्नु भयो; यी कृतिहरूलाई नेपालका विभिन्न प्रकाशकहरूले प्रकाशन गरे;
पाकिस्तानका राष्ट्रिय कवि, अल्लामा इकबालका संग्रहित उर्दू कविताहरूलाई नेपालीमा अनुवाद गर्नु भयो;
खलील जिब्रानका “The Prophet”, “The Wanderer”, “The Madman”, “The Secrets of Heart” लाई पनि हिन्दीमा अनुवाद र प्रकाशन गर्नु भयो;
आफ्नै कश्मीरी भाषणहरूलाई अंग्रेजीमा अनुवाद र “Kashmir and Kilkenny Cats” शीर्षक अन्तर्गत र प्रकाशन गर्नु भयो;
खलील जिब्रानका “The Prophet”, “The Wanderer”, “The Madman”, “The Secrets of Heart”, “The Forerunner”, “Spirits Rebellious” र “Sand and Foam” का उर्दू अनुवाद सम्पादन गर्नु भयो;
सर्वहारा परिप्रेक्ष्यमा लेखिएका केही अन्य (अप्रकाशित) कृतिहरू पनि लेख्नु भयो, जसमा “Tenzin Tseten—the Trail and the Trait of the Time” (ऐतिहासिक र समाजशास्त्रीय तथ्यमा आधारित, नेपाल, भारत र विदेसहरूमा तिब्बतीहरूको जीवन अवस्थामा केन्द्रित); “The Most Perfect Man”; “I’m MiniKashmir” (कश्मीर समस्याका केही पक्षहरू); “Fourteen Days That Mattered Not in the World” (घएको शताब्दीको अन्तिम दशकको अवधिमा सामान्य भारतीयहरूको बारेमा);

Born in Pahalgam–58, Kashmir (J&K Ladakh), Ramesh Kumar Bhat (Zihannasheen), became a proletarian intellectual and dialectical materialist—besides becoming a professional translator and editor for English, Nepali, Hindi, Urdu and Kashmiri—through the following process of life.
1979: Became a proletarian revolutionary under the aegis of a Group operating in Jammu and Kashmir, whose Central Organ was “A Revolutionary Viewpoint”, which was later on named “A Proletarian Viewpoint” from 1980 to 1984.
1984-85: Suffered a great ideological crisis when the Revolutionary Group’s Central Committee fell a prey to revisionism and bourgeoisie reform. The Central Committee abandoned its Marxist ideology and began propagating its “new” understanding that working class is not the revolutionary class, and “Experts’ Class”, i.e. experts in different fields are the driving force of history and humanity.
In order to attain clarity about a multitude of confusions propagated by the Central Committee, studied Marxism, and Lenin’s works in particular, and got rid of the confusions.
1985: Understanding of Marxism deepened and attained conceptual clarity.
1986-88: Devoted most of the spare time to studies.
1988: Visited different places of Ladakh and Zanaskar and got acquainted with the unique conditions of that region.
1989 (June): Left Kashmir because of the prospective murderous and absolutely hopeless conditions developing in Kashmir.
Worked in Bhutan as a teacher. Studied the Bhutanese (under-developed) society firsthand up to the end of 1990.
1991: Came to Nepal and lived in Kathmandu ever since. Worked in different private schools as a teacher up to 1997.
1998 onwards:
Wrote and published some works, viz.: “The New Millennium” (Nepali and English translation of a collection of poems by the revolutionary poet, Sahir Ludhanivi); “Evergreen Readers and Writers” (Nepali and English translation of a collection of articles, stories and poems by various authors in English, Nepali, Urdu and Kashmiri); “Liberating the Future from the Past”, a work that draws attention to the current condition of the world and tasks ahead for the working class; and “Recession—A Bolshevik Viewpoint”; “Is There Any Justification for Unemployment”; “Workers Calendar”; “Secularism and Its Domain”, “Relativity Physics, Interpretation or Misinterpretation”…
Translated with his co-translator, Prof. Pashupati Neupane, Tagore’s “Gitanjali”, Kahlil Gibran’s “Secrets of the Heart” and “The Prophet” from English to Nepali, these works were published by different publishers of Nepal.
Translated the National Poet of Pakistan, Allam Iqbal’s Collected Urdu Verse into Nepali.
Also translated and published Kahlil Gibran’s “The Prophet”, “The Wanderer”, “The Madman”, “The Secrets of Heart” into Hindi.
Translated and published his own Kashmiri Speeches into English and published them under the Title “Kashmir and Kilkenny Cats”
Edited the Urdu translations of Kahlil Gibran’s “The Prophet”, “The Wanderer”, “The Madman”, “The Secrets of Heart”, “The Forerunner”, “Spirits Rebellious” and “Sand and Foam”.
Authored also some other (unpublished) works written in the proletarian perspective, viz.: “Tenzin Tseten—the Trail and the Trait of the Time” (based on historical and sociological facts, concentrated on the life-conditions of Tibetans in Nepal, India and outside); “The Most Perfect Man”; “I’m MiniKashmir” (a few aspects of Kashmir Problem); “Fourteen Days That Mattered Not in the World” (a work about the common Indians during the last decade of the previous century).
