This Schedule is an attempt at evolving a Globally Acceptable Workers’ Calendar. It is designed to help in the growth of workers’ fraternity and consciousness in order to pave the path for humanity to move ahead from its current impasse, wars, terrorism, wretchedness, vanity, frustration, bestiality, insanity, mental diseases…called Capitalism.
A maximum of 25 days in a month; five days only in a week, one of which ought to be a holiday, another a half-day; six hours’ working day, twenty-one hours’ working-week for each worker, and work in two shifts in many industries (to bring into action twice the number of workers there currently are in the world, thereby to increase efficiency, labor-productivity, as well as address the problem of unemployment on the one hand, and provide the due leisure to the producers of all wealth on the other). This is what we think the need will be soon after the revolution—the revolution that is over-due now; for want of which the world is getting decomposed to its hilt, and for want of which humanity is rushing towards the foolish-most prospect of extinction.
Every leap-year-day shall be incorporated as the “Zero-Correction Day” which shall be included in the last month of the leap year. In the “Zero-Correction Day” shall also be included the fraction of time by which the period of revolution of the Earth around the Sun exceeds 365.25 days.
